"Wprost" unofficially stated that the Head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of the Council of Ministers Michał Dworczyk had resigned to Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. Meanwhile, in an interview with tvp.info, the politician denied that there was a resignation. "Information about the resignation of KPRM chief false. In an interview with the tvp.info portal, Minister Michał Dworczyk said that he had not resigned or been resigned," wrote Samuel Pereira on Twitter.
About Dworczyk's departure from KPRM has been speculating for days.
Michał Dworczyk as head of KPRM was appointed on 19 December 2017. He previously served as Secretary of State in the Ministry of National Defence. He was active in the construction of the Territorial Defence Army. As head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, he was liable for coordinating vaccination action against COVID-19.
Change of Prime Minister?
For days now, the media has besides speculated that the Law and Justice authorities will decide to change their position as Prime Minister. Possible candidate for fresh head of government would be the current talker of the Sejm Elizabeth Witek. However, fresh reports indicate that Mateusz Morawiecki will stay in his position.
Interestingly, the i.pl portal journalists established that Paweł Kukiz helped keep the seat of Prime Minister Morawiecki. In this regard, 4 votes were to be crucial, which in the Sejm has the Kukiz'15 parliamentary wheel – Direct Democracy. Kukiz himself, asked straight about whether it was actual that Morawiecki had retained the function of head of government, replied that the claim that he had saved the Prime Minister, "this abuse".
Off the record: Friday gathering of the PiS management
The Bureau of the Political Committee on Law and Justice is due to meet on Friday 30 September at noon – the media reported. On Thursday, 29 September, the Polish Radio 24 officially transmitted the information. According to journalists, PiS management will discuss the current political situation in the country and in the world.
"The gathering agenda is to include topics specified as the war in Ukraine, the energy marketplace situation and plans of the power camp for the next week," we read.
