On October 16th, we celebrate the 45th anniversary of card selection. Karol Wojtyla to the Capital of Peter. The Holy Father John Paul II was a large defender of the family, invariably pleading for respect for the dignity of human life, including the 1 who is inactive developing under the heart of the mother. – I pray for children – unborn and born: let each be received and surrounded by love – he said.

John Paul II repeatedly reminded families that the life of all man is sacred. – Accept the gift of life as God's top grace as his blessing to the family, to the nation and to the Church – he said.

In his statements, he warned against the spreading culture of rejection of man and the culture of death, and so appealed: - We request to change our attitude toward the conceived child. Even if it appeared unexpectedly, it is never an intruder or an aggressor. He is simply a human person, so he has the right to have his parents not belittle him with the gift of his own self, even if it requires a peculiar sacrifice.

John Paul II pointed out that the right to life was 1 of the fundamental human rights. – I address all my fathers and mothers Fatherland and the full world, to all people without exception: all man conceived in the womb has the right to life! Human life is sacred. No 1 in any situation can claim the right to straight destruct an innocent human being.

He saw a peculiar function in the formation of parents who would not close to the gift of life, but in motherhood and fatherhood they would find their vocation, mission and fulfillment. – God has given you, parents, a peculiar calling. To preserve human life on earth, he formed a household community. You are the first guardians and guardians of life not yet born but conceived. Accept the gift of life as God's top grace, as his blessing to the family, to the nation and to the Church.

The Catholic Church has not changed its teaching towards the beginnings of life, and is invariably guarding the life and dignity of all man. – We Poles have the largest of all nations a debt of gratitude [to John Paul II], so I think about it with any concern whether we will bear this task of giving his will – not only spiritual but besides doctrinal – to subsequent generations. Young people request to introduce and show John Paul II as a wonderful man, a prominent Pole and a large teacher of faith, a witness of Christ – said Fr Prof. Dr hab. Jan Pershon of Toruń during 1 of the statements to Radio Maryja.
