Day 822.

Today there are many updates from the direction of Kharkiv

The most interesting events take place in the Wochanska region
Here, Russian forces carried out attacks on bridges on the Siwersky-Donec and Vowcza rivers in hopes of expanding the chances of degradation of Ukrainian terrestrial communication lines and the fast business of Vowchansk.

The most critical Russian attack was aimed at a dam bridge on the Siewierski Donetsk River close Stary Solwa
For this operation, the Russians utilized an air-earth rocket Kh-38 with a 2 hundred-kilogram shrapnel-breaking warhead.
Kh-38 has a 40-kilometre range, while the bridge is only twenty-five kilometres from the Russian border, making it very sensitive
The Ukrainian anti-aircraft defence did not have time to respond to the launch of the missile, as it was fired besides close to the target, leaving no time to intercept.
The footage from the attack on the bridge was recorded by the Orlan-30 reconnaissance drone, which was likely assigned to study the success of the attack and correct it if necessary.

This bridge is the most crucial supply line connecting a group of forces in Kharkiv with another Ukrainian forces defending both Woczańska and Kupańska.
If we look at the road connections and geography of the region, we will see that this section of the Siwierski-Doniec River is 50 kilometres long and only 4 crossings across the river

Since the bridge close Rubiżny was destroyed during the first offensive of Kharkiv, and the bridge close Buhrowatka was besides close to the front line so that it could be utilized to transfer crucial forces, the Ukrainians remained only the bridge on the Pechnyha Dam as the only Ukrainian ground communication line to the Vowczańska and Kupańska.

Such a improvement led to a crucial extension of the supply arm, as the way through Stary Salatiw was only seventy-eight kilometres long, while the way through Pecznyhy is 1 100 and 20 kilometres long, which about 1 and a half times longer the time it takes to move.

The key thought behind the demolition of all bridges north of the Pechnyah Dam was to rapidly isolate the battlefield east of the river by preventing Ukrainian forces in Kharkov from supporting Ukrainian forces defending themselves against ongoing Russian attacks close Vovchansk.
The fast degradation of Ukrainian land-based communication lines was intended to facilitate the fast seizure of Vowczańska, while besides inflicting minimal harm on the city.

Russian military command most likely chose the business of Vowchansk as 1 of the key tactical targets of the first phase of offensive operations in the northern Kharkiv region, as Vowchansk is the largest settlement straight at the border, which would supply Russian forces with a parking space close to the Russian rears to prepare and begin the second phase of Russian offensive operations.

To preserve the city for later use, Russian forces attempted to capture it by conducting a lap operation alternatively of a frontal assault.
In order to make conditions for rounding operations, Russian forces attempted to further isolate the battlefield, destroying another bridge close Tykhe.
The demolition of this bridge prevented Ukrainian forces from maneuvering along the border and crushing the flank of the Russian forces east of Vowchansk.

At first glance, the demolition of the bridge appears to be self-sabotaging for further Russian efforts, but Russian armoured vehicles, including BMP and BTR, are amphibious and can be utilized for attacks by the narrow Volcha River
Such Russian armored attacks do not warrant success, but would be better than the current infantry attacks by the river itself.

The main goal of the circular forces was to establish control of a tiny forest east of the confederate part of the city.
Geolocated recordings showed repeated artillery attacks on Ukrainian positions as part of artillery preparations before the assault operation.

Unfortunately for the Russians, the Russian attacks close Tikhe did not yield any results, as assault groups must decision up to 5 kilometres from the border across open fields to scope the village.
Due to this exposure, many elements of Russian equipment were detected and destroyed by Ukrainian FPV drones.
So far, Ukrainian FPV drone operators have managed to destruct 2 combat BMP-Two infantry wagons, destruct the tank and 2 supply vehicles and harm 2 more tanks.
