Masonery has for centuries been accused of creating a conspiracy to take over the world. How much fact is there in this black legend? The aura of mystery that surrounded the free-mural movement provoked to make different, not always actual stories about it. Where did the Masons come from? erstwhile did the first lodges start? Why did the British Isles turn out to be their cradle, and what did this mean for freemulators who were active in the erstwhile Republic?

The most prominent Poles belonged to the free-mural movement. We will talk about respective of them, not to mention the most celebrated Polish freemulator, Stanisław August Poniatowski.
