...it has lasted for centuries, possibly since 7 July 1654, erstwhile Tsar Aleksy stood under Smolensk and previously occupied the areas of Lithuania to Beresina and the Sound. The day, Druja and Polock were killed. However, the first assaults on the Smolensk walls were reflected, and only after 10 Sundays did any of the crew begin to fraternize with the Tsar's wars and yet opened... the gate! And then Smolensk disappeared for the Republic forever, and it happened 372 years ago. . They say the politician of the city did not like the Radziwills, hence betrayal. And possibly from this betrayal the curse goes on for centuries...?

Then the Tsar besides won Vitebsk and Mohilev. So the crowds fled to Vilnius, the Moskals took more than 1 100 1000 prisoners, and Jasienica says, “Seven and 8 boys or girls were sold for rubla...a Smolensk Jews were reportedly spent in wooden houses under which fire was set.” ( “The Republic of both Nations”, t.2, p.131) So the Moskals were like distant precursors of the SS and the crime in Jedwabne, attributed to Poles hastily...?

Aleksy continued to ravage Lithuania, for the Lithuanian army – despite the arrival of reinforcements from the Crown – did not decision into the field, possibly struck by the defeat of Radziwił at Shepieewiczi (although it had previously triumphed in the conflict of Szklow). But the Tsar must have stopped the raid at the end of winter erstwhile the news arrived that any mysterious plague had erupted in Moscow lands. However, he returned in the spring to lead the fresh army, and on 8 August Cossacks with the Moskals invaded Vilnius. The slaughter of the inhabitants lasted 3 days, and the fire of the days seventeen. The diagnosis of Jasienica is merciless: here behind the Vases the Republic began to decouple, and besides the stitches established by the Jagiellones were creaking (p.132).

Unfortunately, there were no Rafale aircraft or Abrams tanks or drones on the ground of Lithuania at the time...So present the Lithuanians should sleep peacefully, due to the fact that I don't think that Tsar Vladimir will hazard going to Vilnius in specified a situation!

But the Smolenian curse struck us inactive in 2010, and its catalyst was then the betrayal of Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who separated visits to Katyn...And as it was, anyone with a small sense, it's easy to imagine.
