Marco Rubio, fresh US National safety Advisor

The decision to remove Waltz from his function as national safety advisor was taken after the alleged "Signal affair" was revealed. In March 2025, Waltz accidentally added the writer "The Atlantic", Jeffrey Goldberg, to a secret group on the Signal communicator, in which details of planned targets attacks in Yemen were discussed. Goldberg published portions of the talks, revealing, among others, information about the types of aircraft utilized and the hours of operation, which caused serious concerns about US national security.
