Marcin Perłowski: After us a bad year, before us – a year of constant challenges!

Ladies and gentlemen,
This year, passing the Christmas period, for me and the full band of the Center of Life and household was like a gust of fresh air. After us a very hard year. It was a bad year for Poland.
A year marked by a revolution, a ruthless fight against opponents and continuous attacks on your close and my values.
In July, I wrote to you about what we did together in his first half. In this newsletter, I would like to sum up fresh months from the position of the most crucial activities of the Centre of Life and Family.
Actions that mostly responded to Donald Tusk's cabinet policy.
There is surely 1 thing we can say about this government: I don't think any another has done so much to mobilise communities attached to the values of life and family. This was convinced by both the tremendous amount of work that we had to do last year, as well as the excitement that I experienced, taking part in meetings with people, demonstrations and conferences.
Ladies and gentlemen,
I'm certain you're experiencing a sense of tension. Emotions – sometimes disbelief, sometimes anger, and increasingly "a combat attitude".
Unfortunately, we can't hope for a good change this year.
It is possible that any extremist demands will be temporarily hidden from the public – from politicians a large conflict for the seat of the president of Poland, so they will be careful not to scare more average voters.
But let's not imagine that specified tactical moves will change anything in the long term. The processes will continue.
“No!” for the demolition of the Holy Spirit
Already in the first half of last year, I wrote to you about the policy pursued by the Ministry of Education under Barbara Nowacka.
At the time, we focused on themes related to cutting the programme basis and the list of readings from topics and positions related to Polish heritage and identity. But even then, we raised the question of the dangers of introducing vulgar sex education into schools.
It was not essential to wait long for these warnings to come true. In the autumn it became clear that under the cloak of concern for the wellness of children in schools, sexualizing content of the youngest generations is to be introduced.
At the same time, the minister from the ‘citizen’ coalition is profoundly despised by her parents and that they have the constitutional right to rise children according to their own views.
Therefore, we have actively joined the Coalition for the Salvation of the Polish School. We spread the petition with protest to the Minister Barbara Nowacka, participated in expert conferences and media debates, prepared examples of opposition to the Ministry of Education.
But we acted in a two-track manner: protesting and observing on the 1 hand and encouraging individual evidence of opposition to the ideology and sexualisation of young people, as expressed by the run "Noble Friday". This year, she met with a wide media interest, and many more people joined her than in erstwhile years.
The culmination of these activities was a demonstration at the Castle Square in Warsaw, which gathered respective 1000 participants in the cloudy December south. I had the honor of moving this event.
Under the heading “Yes for Education! Not for depravity!” we asked the ministry to retreat from the plans to sexualize children against the will of parents.
During the more than 2 hours of demonstration, many experts heard the voice: on the 1 hand, the substantive one, on the another hand, the warm-up to resistance. All showed the harmfulness of changes in education, which lead to lower levels of teaching and safety in Polish schools and violate the authority of teachers.
The presence of parents, educators and all curious in saving Polish education is very welcome. The event was live coverage by tv Trwam and tv Republic, but besides another stations posted coverage on their news sites.
This allowed us to scope millions of Poles with our message!
Stop 21st Century Narcotics!
In the fall, we started collecting signatures under a civilian bill protecting children from pornography.
The reason was simple: almost unlimited access to these harmful content and deficiency of effective protection from children and young people. This is evidenced by frightening data: the age of first contact with pornography is now an average of 11 years, and 24% of teenagers admit to all day watching pornography.
Today I can compose with large joy that just before Christmas we managed to submit more than 210,000 signatures under this project, which is more than twice as much as the bill required!
Patient work, even with specified hard subjects, brings fruit. We already conducted our first run on the dangers of pornography in 2016. And I must confess to you that the results of our actions were disappointing at the time.
This time it was definitely different: during the run I experienced truly encouraging examples of concern and civic commitment. Thousands of signature cards from all over Poland have come to our office!
This is where I give peculiar thanks to everyone who has joined this campaign! Thank you most sincerely for this exceptional commitment! You made a wonderful Christmas gift for Polish children and young people!
YES for education! NO for depravity!
Of course, these extended ventures we have been surviving in in fresh weeks do not exhaust our activity in 2024. Let me briefly study any of our actions.
Thanks to your help, we have sent over a 1000 copies of the guide “Dear Mama” to hospitals, social services centres and departments of household ministry.
In consequence we received orders for further copies, which caused the request to print 5,000 guides. With the support of our benefactors, this was possible and the guides will service the mothers in request of help.
The last Marches for Life and household were held in September. In summary, over 80 of them passed through Polish cities this year! Going under the slogan “United for Life, Family, Homeland”, we gave a strong signal to the rulers that society does not agree to the assassination of the unborn and the identity of the household they make. The last chord of the march year was the October Papal March, which we supported organizationally and financially.
In addition, we conducted a run of solidarity with the prisoner priest Michał Olszewski. We have received respective 1000 greeting cards, comforting voices and assurances of prayer. Additionally, on the net we collected respective 1000 entries, which allowed us to prepare and print 3 "moner books" with priest Michael.
We were able to hand over only a tiny condition of it. We are waiting for a minute erstwhile we can do the same to the others. Fortunately, we will be able to put them all straight on the hands of Father Michał Olszewski.
We joined the protest against the decision of president of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski to remove crosses from the walls of the capital offices. Not only did the action origin today's candidate for the office of president of Poland to retreat from his decision, but he shamelessly disowns her, denying that his intention was to fight spiritual symbols.
We besides funded the participation of Polish translators in a specialised conference on helping people with unwanted interest in the same sex or children or young people who were diagnosed with alleged "gender dysphoria". This allowed respective psychologists, educators and priests from Poland to benefit from the experience of experts from countries that are facing the effects of the sexual revolution.
And at the end of this part of the letter, I will remind you that thanks to the aid of our Friends and Sympathians, we managed to finance the shipment of 20,000 copies of our calendar to Lithuania and to supply support for the renovation of the laundry in the rehabilitation centre run by the sisters of the Elizabethan in Vilnius!
But that's not all!
I have already mentioned that we have decided to reactivate the household Friendly School program.
After us, the most tedious work connected with updating the school base that joined the program a fewer years ago. Thanks to this, we were able to organize the first shipments of lesson scenarios and work cards for teachers.
We are presently working on creating an interactive map that will enable parents to find schools that respect the value of their family. I can besides boast that fresh schools are joining the program.
The issue of opposition to:
- the law limiting the alleged hatred speech: it is an effort to expel conservatives and Christians beyond the brackets of public debate by introducing censorship of people and institutions opposed to the ideology of the extremist LGBT environments;
- legalization of partnerships: we are preparing to defrost the subject by the rulers; thanks to the aid of our Sympathians, we managed to buy a media advertisement last year promoting our appeal to president Andrzej Duda and we have already collected close to 55,000 signatures.
We besides know that we are waiting for another, breathtaking conflict to defend life. Despite last year's success and halting the first effort to legalize the killing of unborn, further projects went to parliamentary work.
At the beginning of the year, we are besides planning a protest on the Green Deal, which will have dramatic consequences for Polish families' budgets.
We will besides proceed to hold field meetings, especially on educational topics and the defence of sovereignty in connection with the implementation of the amendments to the European treaties.
Ladies and gentlemen,
At the beginning of this year I would like to thank you warmly for your commitment and assistance, which allows us to carry out our mission last year. And at the same time, I ask you to proceed to support our efforts, as this year is expected to be equally difficult.
First of all, we will proceed to argue the activities of the Ministry of Education. We will proceed to monitor the ministry's moves and exposure them to the public via the media. We will besides usage any formal means to convey the parents' opposition. And if necessary, we will proceed our protest on the streets, even during this year's Marches for Life and Family.
The fact that we are able to take effective initiatives to defend the most crucial values is primarily due to our Friends and Beneficiaries.
Without the aid you give us, we cannot carry out our mission.
To conclude, I will repeat what I wrote above: persistent work brings results. We've found out about it more than once.
Even if now the triumph is not clear on the horizon, it is our work to take these steps that we can: with courage and prudence.
We are arrogant Poles and want to influence what is happening in our homeland.
