Marcin Bogdan: Poles not Goose
date:02 September 2026 Editor: GKut

Mikołaj Rej of Naglowic, poet, translator, politician, theologian, and besides MP at the Sejm of the First Republic in the 1562 collection "Animalin a associate entitled “To what he readHe said: “And let the nations know that Poles do not have Goose, that they have their own language”.

These celebrated words of Mikołaj Reja addressed to contemporary readers became a circumstantial testament of a poet, a circumstantial commitment for subsequent generations of Poles, a commitment to usage the wealth of Polish language to appreciate its beauty and to guarantee the purity of Polish speech. Poet Juliusz Słowacki in an 1841 poem “BeniowskiIn the 18th verse of Song V, he wrote:

“I mean, the tongue is flexible
He said everything the head would think

The Polish language is flexible, allows you to say whatever your head thinks. But also, and possibly above all, it allows the recipient to realize what he wants to say, what his fellow talker wants to say. Even after many years, erstwhile due to the passage of time and the changing realities of the planet around us, there are interpretational doubts, even then, by analyzing the individual words, 1 can decently read and realize what the author of the words wanted to express. This was the case with the celebrated words written by Nicholas Rej. The first association tells us that Poles are not geese, Poles are not home birds, Poles have their own language. But there have been interpretations that the word “goose” in the conviction written by Reja is not just an adjective. It refers not to Poles, but to language. What language? It's not a goose's tongue, it's yours. The word “goose tongue” was meant to mean a incomprehensible language associated with clucking, i.e. by default Latin. But no sources confirm that Latin is called goose language in the 16th century. It was only in time that it was noted that Nicholas Rej wrote the word “Goose“ with a capital letter. And that is the key to solving this mystery, to a appropriate knowing of what the poet's "head thought". Well, “goose” is in Czech “hus”. And Jan Hus was the creator of Czech literary language. In the time of Reja, Czech language was as common and as fashionable as English today. In the “Polish Court” published in 1566, the contemporary humanist Łukasz Górnicki wrote “About the influence of Czech Republic on Polish language”. It was this influence that Mikołaj Rej drew attention to, writing that Poles are not Hussites, that Poles are not Czechs, Poles have their own language.

The Polish language is rich, it's beautiful, allows you to say anything your head thinks. Anyone who rapes the Polish language, rapes the Polish Nation. He rapes our past and depreciates our future. A fewer days ago, Barbara Nowack raped the Polish language on the phase in Olsztyn Campus, “Poland of the Future”, saying: “I'm in the unusual function of being a guest and an economy. It’s okay. ” Barbara Nowacka is indeed in a unusual role, a function that exceeds her is cast in the function of the Minister of Education. The Minister of Education rapes the language, which is the absolute foundation of this education. In education, decently selected words let you to order concepts, build logical reasoning and call the phenomenon of the surrounding world. What are the words chosen and utilized by Barbara Nowacka?

There are no words in Polish The hospitality. In the beautiful proverb “Guest in the House, God in the House”, the word “guest” refers not to man, but to man, or both female and man. For it is man who is the bearer of God, and in the face of God sex loses meaning, for man is important. It seems that people like Barbara Nowacka are deliberately trying to exclude themselves from the framework of this proverb. They do not want their visit to someone’s home to be associated with God. People like Nowacka most likely follow a more progressive statement: Hostage in house, devil in house.

The second complement utilized by Barbara Nowacka is even more surprising: "economy’, as an economy. The host's word did not go through her throat by burning feminism, and the correct form of female host's word, or hostess, must have been associated with her, for example, a housewife, which is simply not suitable for specified an emancipated woman. As a consequence Barbara Nowacka announced from the Campus phase that she was an economy, and I yet understood why from the very beginning the economy of Tusk was lying. And that's on the shoulders. And I ask the esteemed readers not to propose that I'm connecting any dots here. Nothing like that. Yes, Tusk is very afraid about the economy, but he is not getting anywhere.

Polish is rich and beautiful at the same time. The Polish language emphasizes, glorifies certain functions, certain professions, certain professions, certain qualities (president, prime minister, minister, president, MP, guest, driver) assigning them to human dignity. They concern man and, by the very fact that they do not have male and female forms, constitute equality between men and women. There are besides specified professions and functions (teacher – educator, host – housewife, orderly – orderly) in which Polish language, through male and female form, points to subtle differences between the function of female and man. It is simply a good thing that Barbara Nowacka did not come to Campus "Poland's Future" driving the car, due to the fact that then we would know that Barbara Nowacka is the steering wheel.

Polish language is beautiful. He must not be harmed by artificial vocabulary caused by any sick ideology. Polish language is rich, you can draw from all its depths. After all, we have female forms from many qualities and qualities. There's a moron in Polish, there's a moron. She's an idiot, and she's an idiot. Barbara Nowacka can draw from the depths of Polish. He can draw with all his hands.
