Are column titles important? I think that they are very crucial due to the fact that they can attract attention, interest, even intrigued the reader, encourage him to read the texts under these titles. The title should be short, so all word is crucial in the title. Each word should be clear, the meaning of each word utilized in the title should be clear. This is not so easy, however, due to the fact that we are now surviving in times where words are distorted, words are attributed to different meanings. We live in a time where, in order to realize each other, we must regain our words. First of all, we request to get our words back.

Hence the title of this column. This title is not my own. The inspiration for specified a title of the column was taken from the podcast of Tomasz Sztreker, which runs the patriotic-Catholic discussion cafe Agere Contra. Tomasz Sztreker, speaking of poisoning Christianity, death or even death of Christianity, not only makes a diagnosis, but besides proposes an antidote, offers an antidote. It proposes that "retrieve the wordIt’s okay. ” This antidote, this antidote is expected to be getting the word back. I encourage you to read this in-depth analysis presented by Tomasz Sztreker. This is 1 of the most crucial analyses of change, which unfortunately, under the influence and force of the modern planet and leftist ideology, succumbs to Christianity:
I am not going to summarize or discuss this analysis. I will add just a fewer of my observations showing how the Christian teaching of the Catholic Church is perverted by changing the meaning of individual words. It should be noted here that this mechanics is not just about the Church. It concerns everyday language, politics, economy, social relations. By changing the meaning of words, false conclusions are attempted, contrary to the facts, frequently contrary to common sense. A perfect example of specified social engineering is the false explanation of the validity of the vows made by judges elected to the Constitutional Court. This false explanation is based on a change in the meaning of the word "against" in the condition of validity of the oath, which is to be made "to the president of the Republic of Poland". Changing the meaning of 1 word leads to completely distorted conclusions and other effects.
The problem of changing the meaning of words is, as you can see, a broader phenomenon, not only concerns the Church, but unfortunately besides concerns the Church. The church that says: «Let your speech be: Yes, yes; no, no. And what is more, is from the Evil One» [Matthew 5:37]. The Church that calls for a simple, clear, truth-based speech. Is the modern Church open to the influences of the materialized planet always based on truth? I'm going to give you a fewer examples of what the misconception of words leads to.
For any time the following translation into Polish of the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel has been circulated in the Catholic Church:
“Holy Michael Archangel! aid us fight,
and against wickedness and the ambush of evil spirit be our defense.
May God slay him, we humbly ask,
And you, chief of the blue hosts,
Satan and the another evil spirits that are circling the planet to the demolition of human souls,
By God's power, knock to hell.
Amen."
Now let's see what the original, written in Latin, text of this exorcism arranged by Pope Leon XIII in the late 19th century:
‘Sancte Michael Archangele, defense nose in praelio,
contra nequitiam et insidias diaboli esto praesidium.
Imperet illi Deus, supplices deprecamur: tuque,
Princeps militiae caelestis, Satanam aliosque spiritus
malignos, qui ad perditionem animarum pervagantur in mundo,
divina virtute, in infernum detrude.
Amen.’
You don’t gotta have a specialised education or a finite fewer faculty to see the fundamental differences in translation. In the first is "Princeps militiae caelestis’, which is Prince We have heavenly hosts, and in the now imposed and widespread translation we have “Chief. blue hosts’. Doesn't anyone see the difference between the Prince and the Chief? But that's not all. In the first we prayed to Saint Michael the Archangel: “defense nose in praelio’,or weapons we are to pray in the fight, and in the now imposed and widespread translation “support us in combat.” Even respective years ago, the translation of this Prayer into Polish was correct, faithful to the original. But someone, deliberately and deliberately, imposed and propagated the incorrect version. alternatively of praying humbly to St. Michael the Archangel: “The prince of the heavenly hosts, defend us in battle”, he gives the Catholics the Bunch prayer: “The chief of the heavenly hosts, assist us in the fight.” In general, we can handle it, we can handle Satan, but if you can, Chief, aid us. erstwhile humility was considered 1 of the most crucial virtues was called the foundation of another virtues.
The second example of a crucial translation change, this time from Greek, is even more striking. This was noted by editor Paweł Lisicki commenting on the celebrated Letter of the Polish Episcopal Conference on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of St John Paul II's visit to the Roman Synagogue. This is simply a passage from St Paul’s letter to the Romans, chapter 11 verse 29. It reads in the first as follows: “ἀμεταμέλητα γὰρ χαρίσματα καὶ ἡIt’s okay. ” The key word in this text is “ἀμεταμέλητα’, ametamelēta. This word is an adjective and consists of denial a- and the verb-related core metamelomai, To feel regret, to regret something. Hence, the first translations of the Scriptures, specified as the translation of Father James Uncle, are as follows: “For without regret are the gifts and calls of God”. It's a small archaic mediate Polish, so let's mention to the translation in the Gdańsk Bible from 1632. It is simply a Protestant translation, but Protestant translations were very precise. Verse 29 of chapter 11 of St Paul’s Letter reads: “For God does not regret his gifts and calls.". And what does this verse sound like in the current translations?
In the most popular Millennium Bible today, verse 29 of the 11th chapter of St Paul’s letter to the Romans reads: “For the gifts of grace and the call of God are irrevocable.”. The difference, as you can see, is fundamental. Between the message that God does not regret his gifts and the message that God’s gifts are unreturned, there is an explanation gap. It was on this false translation that Polish Bishops based the main thesis of the Episcopal Conference. For they recognized that since Israel was a chosen nation, and the gifts of grace and the call of God were irrevocable, Israel remained a chosen nation. From the proper, actual translation of St. Paul’s letter, however, there is no specified evidence. God does not regret giving Israel a chosen nation, but this does not mean that Israel remains a chosen nation. The change in the meaning of 1 word resulted in revolutionary conclusions. alternatively of calling for the conversion of Jews, bishops call us to go to the synagogue. The false explanation is always false.
Finally, I will give another example of mistranslating words in the translation of the Gospel. An example that many may know from hearing, but fewer wonder about the origin and consequences of this misconception. This is Jesus ’ first parable recorded in Matthew chapter 25. I think we all know what this parable says about 10 virgins: “They took their lamps and went out to meet the groom. 5 of them were wise, and 5 were foolish. For the foolish took their lamps not the oil with them. And wise with their lamps they took besides oil in their vessels.”. In the translation of Father James, the maiden uncle is wise and Stupid.. But in the Bible of the Millennium, the exegets say: “These qualities have been softened to Reasonable and UnreasonableIt’s okay. ” Relented? Or was there a false translation? Someone's gonna ask why they would fake it? In his commentary, Tomasz Sztreker said: "so as not to hurt another man, due to the fact that it may interfere with his sensitivity”. Where's the truth? The fact hurts? Or he should hurt, he can hurt!
Let us look at the difference between the terms “Stupid’ a ‘unwise, unreasonable’ describes the dictionary of Polish: "Stupid means a general deficiency of intelligence and has a permanent character, while unwise indicates a deficiency of reason in a circumstantial action and refers to temporary recklessness. These words disagree in depth, speech and meaning.’ Father James Uncle translated the Bible from Vulgate, or Latin translation from the late 4th century, but in the first text, or Greek, there are a pair of anthonyms: phronimoi and mōrai. Word phronimos means "wise, practically intelligent" man, and the word mōros means a man ‘stupid, unwise, blunt’. However, open church scholars show that “Miss's mistake was not a general intellectual deficit, but a temporary deficiency of prediction and foresight.". How akin it is to modern judgement erstwhile a court of law dismisses a case due to a temporary insanity disorder.
Once, or only a dozen, possibly a fewer decades ago, the Church taught that “God is simply a just justice who rewards for good and punishes for evilIt’s okay. ” present we hear that God is Merciful. Can the Merciful God punish individual for “temporary deficiency of prediction and foresight’?
You request to get your words back. If we don't want to stray, if we don't want to get lost, if we don't want to get caught in the traps of the modern world, we request to get our words back. To regain words in politics, in economics, in social and interpersonal relations. But we must besides get back the words in the Church. besides in the Church. If we don't, they're going to force a summary of the Bible, which will be: do what they want. The church will be open to all ideologies and pathologies of the modern world. Father Dariusz Kowalczyk SJ wrote on the portal “Opoka”: Christianity is not a religion of “openness”. It is simply a religion of fact that liberates us; a religion of love that has limits; a religion of hope that requires choice. Openness, which does not know what to protect, is not virtue—is foolishness that exposes to demolition what is most precious.” Let's not let it destruct what's most precious. To do that, we must regain our words. So let's get our words back. Let's get our words back while we inactive remember their actual meaning.
