

‘Reinsurance forces issued by respective states will be sent to Ukraine," said Emmanuel Macron, president of France, at a press conference in Paris, where the summit of the alleged "coalition of willing" is held on safety guarantees for Ukraine. Prime Minister Donald Tusk participates in the meeting. "We are slow finalising the treaty between Poland and France. I hope that we will be ready to sign it soon," said the head of the Polish government.
Following the summit of the alleged “voluntary coalition” in Paris, French president Emmanuel Macron announced:

The politician acknowledged that there is presently no unanimity on the issue proposed by France and the United Kingdom of global forces to be sent to Ukraine in the event of a possible truce. He warned that unanimity was not essential at the moment.
French-British Mission
According to Macron, “in the coming days” a French-British mission will go to Ukraine to prepare the future format of the Ukrainian army in the event of the possible deployment of global forces in Ukraine in the event of a truce between Kiev and Moscow.
He besides mentioned that in the event of a truce, frozen Russian assets could be utilized for the future reconstruction of Ukraine. He listed EUR 230 billion as the value of these assets.

Macron, who spoke after the summit of Ukraine's allies in Paris (the countries of the ‘voluntary coalitions’), explained that ‘reinsurance forces’ could be deployed in places of strategical importance in Ukraine.
He stressed that these forces would not be on the line of demarcation, separating the fighting parties, and would not be a substitute for peacekeeping forces supervising the truce.
The French president besides said that the summit agreed that sanctions imposed on Russia should not be withdrawn at the moment.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk, in turn, said that at the occasion of the summit of the “coalition of the willing” – the alliance states of Ukraine, with representatives of the EU and NATO – he met in “four eyes” with the president of France, with whom he spoke, among others, about bilateral relations between both countries.

Although Tusk acknowledged that he would not uncover the details of the treaty for the time being, he estimated that it could be a breakthrough in terms of common safety guarantees.

In January the Minister of abroad Affairs Radosław Sikorski spoke about finalising the treaty on enhanced relationship and cooperation between Poland and France. He then argued that the fresh treaty would supply an crucial impetus for Polish-French relations, and its finalization would take place in the coming months.
