Paweł Latusz announced the transfer of material to Ukraine concerning the engagement of the Belarusian government in Russian aggression. It is besides crucial for Poland. Belarus under Lukashenko remains Moscow's base and a tool of force on our border.
The opposition announces the transfer of materials
Paweł Latuszka, vice-president of the Belarusian opposition of the United Transitional Office, told PAP that the Belarusian democratic forces have provided Ukraine with evidence of the engagement of Alaksandra Lukashenko in Russian aggression since 2022. He announced that the collective evidence should go to the Ukrainian Ministry of abroad Affairs and the lawyer General of Ukraine (PAP report).
These are serious allegations and should be settled in legal procedures alternatively than in media terms. Politically, however, the painting has long been known: Minsk was not a neutral observer of war. The Lukashenko government gave up its territory, logistics and state apparatus under Russian strategy. Lukashenka had already been identified as the mark of Kiev's billing activities.
The Court is to fill the gap
Easy talked about the peculiar Court for Aggression against Ukraine. The Council of Europe informed on 15 May 2026 that 36 countries and the European Union had declared their participation in an agreement on a management committee for the future tribunal to prosecute those liable for the crime of aggression against Ukraine (Communication from the Council of Europe).
This is not a method dispute between lawyers. If aggression is not to stay unpunished, contractors and those who have created political and military facilities for assault must be accounted for. This applies to Russia, but the Belarusian thread is unavoidable here.
Belarus as a tool of Moscow
For Poland the case has a direct dimension. Belarus under the regulation of Lukashenka is simply a subsidiary of Moscow, utilized for political, military and migration pressures. The border with Belarus has been and remains testedand Warsaw cannot treat this as a collection of incidents without a common source.
The Minsk government operates according to the logic of the front state. He erstwhile opens up space for Russian war activities, another time plays migration pressure, political prisoners, or blackmailing his neighbors. Poland's state of affairs requires support for Belarusian civilian society, but not to be deceived about the nature of Lukashenko's camera.
ICC and the thread of crimes against humanity
He besides recalled the case before the global Criminal Court. The Lithuanian authorities made a request on 30 September 2024 to the ICC regarding the possible forced deportation of Belarusians from the country and the persecution of civilian society. In March 2026, the ICC launched an investigation into possible crimes against humanity committed against opponents of the Belarusian government (description of the Belsat case in Onet).
This shows that the force on Minsk is not limited to 1 war case. It is simply a full model of power: force against its own society, dependence on Russia and participation in the breakdown of safety in east Europe.
Poland should be tough and sensible
Warsaw has its own business in this case. The settlement of the Lukashenko government for its participation in Russian aggression strengthens Poland's security, due to the fact that it weakens the impunity of the state which has been participating in the force on our region for years. It's not about revenge. It is simply a clear principle: aggression has a cost, besides for aggressor's helpers.
At the same time, Poland must remember the Belarusians who themselves are victims of the regime. Release of political prisoners in Belarus It should never obscure systemic violence, but it reminds us that the Belarusian people are not identical to Lukashenko's camera. It's an crucial line that the large right doesn't cross.
The stakes for Poles are specific: the safe border, the weak position of Moscow and the clear signal that Central Europe does not accept the imperial policy of facts accomplished. If the opposition papers aid in global proceedings, they must be used. No noise, no naivety, with full determination.
