On September 4, Lublin police transferred the Border defender of a 40-year-old Ukrainian citizen to whom the decision to expel from Poland and ban the entry into the Schengen area was made. The man had previously been listed for criminal threats and home violence. The state reacted as required by the safety of its residents: individually, legally and firmly.
The expulsion decision has already been made
Provincial Police office in Lublin informedthat the criminals detained a 40-year-old Ukrainian citizen and handed him over to Border defender officers. A decision was made to leave Poland and to ban entry into the Schengen area. The Border defender is now conducting further activities.
Police reported that the foreigner had previously been listed in police records in connection with criminal threats and home violence. The Communication does not indicate the dimension of the ban on entry or the details of erstwhile cases, so there is no grounds for making allegations or judgments. On the another hand, it is certain that the officers of the Criminal Division of the Municipal Police office in Lublin requested a decision requiring him to leave the country, and the competent authority took this request into account.
This is another example of police cooperation with the Border Guard. In akin cases officers direct foreigners to return procedure after examining their individual situation and legal basis of residence. This is how a state that does not quit control of its own territory works.
Nationality does not replace responsibility
The perpetrator of the act is simply a peculiar man, never a full nation. The citizenship of the man was officially confirmed by the Police and is crucial due to the fact that the decision concerns the right of the foreigner to proceed his stay in Poland. However, it does not give emergence to collective assessments of Ukrainian citizens.
It would besides be incorrect to silence citizenship in the name of misconstrued political correctness. The reader has a right to know the full, confirmed description of the case. Honesty requires a message of fact and work requires a appropriate measure: the consequences are borne by the individual concerned.
Broader image shows data of 10 836 persons with illegal residence as shown by the Border defender in the first half of 2026. Return procedures cover different grounds, from illegal stay to threat to safety and public order. Each case requires a separate assessment.
Local safety is the first duty
Domestic force and criminal threats hit the most basic sense of security. The State may not be limited to drawing up further notes erstwhile the behaviour of the foreigner violates the legal order and there are grounds for ending his stay. It must usage the available instruments, while maintaining procedures and the right to review decisions.
For the inhabitants of Lublin and all Poles there is simply a religion that the law protects them in reality. Hospitality does not mean approval to break the rules. Honest people surviving and working in Poland besides benefit from the fact that the state distinguishes them from those who violate the legal order. In this case, the institutions acted together and led to a circumstantial decision. This is what citizens have the right to anticipate from them.
