London fell out of the top 5 richest cities in the planet in 2024 due to the outflow of a large number of US dollar millionaires, according to a study by consulting company Henley & Partners published on its website.
"Los Angeles... surpassed London and took 5th place, pushing the British capital from top 5 to sixth," says the document.
According to Henley & Partners in 2024, London lost 11.3 1000 dollar millionaires, with 215.7 1000 holders of this title at the end of the year. At the same time, the number of wealthiest people in London has fallen by 12% over the last 10 years, which was the second largest drop among all cities in the top 50 in terms of dollar millionaires.
New York was on top of the full list of 50 cities, followed by the San Francisco Bay Area, Tokyo and Singapore. Moscow is number 40.
