Lithuania is committed to developing a network of shelters and alert systems

This week the Minister of the Interior of Lithuania Agnė Bilotaitė met with Mayor Wilna Valdas Benkunskas to discuss the implementation of the "Programme for strengthening and developing civilian safety in the capital". The head of the Lithuanian Ministry of abroad Affairs pointed out that under the civilian Protection Programme, most attention should be paid to the capital of Lithuania, due to the "**higher level of military and hybrid threats, a large number of people and a tiny distance from the border with Belarus**".
