On Monday, Lithuania's president Gitanas Nauseda expressed his condolences on the deaths of 3 U.S. soldiers who had been reported missing in the camp in Podbroda a fewer days ago. The search for the 4th missing individual continues.
US Army Command in Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF) reported on Monday that The bodies of 3 soldiers were found in a military armored transporter pulled out of the swamp.
According to USAREUR-AF, the identity of the found soldiers has not yet been confirmed by their relatives and the search for the 4th military continues.

Four U.S. soldiers were reported missing on March 25 during training at a training ground in Podbrod, about 15-20 km from the Lithuanian border with Belarus. Lithuanian and abroad military, as well as helicopters of the Air Force and the State Border defender of Lithuania, were directed to search and rescue action. Rescuers from Poland besides joined the action.
The operation to pull the car out of the swamp ended Monday morning. The vehicle was about 4 metres below the water surface and under about a two-meter mud layer.
