Lithuania to increase backing for civilian self-defense organizations

Due to the changing geopolitical situation and the increasing number of members of the Lithuanian Riflemen's Union (LSS), a voluntary civilian self-defense organization, the government of Lithuania increased the backing of the LSS. In 2023, 10.8 million euros will be allocated for this purpose, more than 3 million more than in the current year, the Ministry of Defence said.
