Let's focus energy on common goals

Dear Congressionals, Dear Congressionals, Dear States,

The election run always triggers immense social emotions. This time, despite very advanced attendance, the consequence was decided by the smallest difference in modern history. After specified a polarizing and exhausting experience, we have a first and foremost desire to remainder from political uplifting and uncovering hope for the future, despite these divisions.

The election is settled. It would be highly harmful – both from the position of individual intellectual and physical health, as well as for the sustainability of our national community – if we were to stay in run emotions, cementing divisions. Half of Poles must not be offended by the second half, nor should they feel superior or inferior. Poland is the country of all of us and each of us has the right to feel “at home”.

We most likely have about 1.5 years before the next election campaign. erstwhile again, we will function in the conditions of the alleged "difficult co-habitation" between the presidential camp and the parliamentary-office. In lessons from “democracy in practice” we participate – with a better or worse effect since 1989, but at the same time in terms of cooperation over divisions, we have not even reworked the ‘programme basis’. possibly this time it's worth taking the time to learn something.

We cannot wait, block each another and bet that fundamental changes in Poland will take place only if 1 of the polarized parties acquires full power. Biology knows different strategies of endurance of the species, but evolutionaryly the most advantageous has been adaptation to different (or variable) conditions. We cannot constantly make the same mistakes and anticipate different results. It is impossible to fight the nonsubjective conditions in which we find ourselves. so focus on what is feasible. Let us try, after all, to make good usage of this time – due to the fact that in a planet so turbulent, dynamically changing and "playing hard" no 1 will wait until we agree internally and get out of the wedge.

We should be accompanied by 7 key signs:

1. Let us abandon our delusions – in the close future no of the parties will be able to implement their most utmost demands – especially those of the world-ideological view. Politics of emotional statements, vouchers of mots recorded on Facebook or TikTok and media arguments are frequently a smokescreen for the helplessness of politicians in solving our truly urgent, existential problems. Of course, we (citizens) should not quit our views. Differences in the strategy of values are healthy and desirable – they frequently defend us from collective mistakes. It is natural and beneficial that we are different – any of us request greater autonomy and freedom, others request solidarity and community, and others request hierarchy, belonging and respecting tradition. However, politicians should be required to deal with matters that are able to solve in the present strategy of forces, not polarizing and antagonizing society. This usage of the highest values as weapons, tools to control or gain the loyalty of another man is contrary to the basic moral compass.

2. Let's start with our own attitudes and behaviours – all political change starts with a change in the minds and hearts of citizens. Let us effort to avoid the attitude of “confessors” of this or another political option, blindly supporting all postulate and all slogan of your camp. Let us besides not confine ourselves to operating exclusively in the private sphere (the democracy of the ancient Greeks did not accidentally describe those not curious in social affairs as Idiots, noticing their destructive influence on the power of the political community). We request citizens who feel strong in their country, the subject and anticipate a servitude from power. They look closely at the hands of all power, they stand on the side common to all the "rules of the game" – basic principles reflected in both the legal strategy and good customs (political culture).

3. Let us focus on matters of systemic importance – there is another sphere between specifics and general symbolic narratives – public strategies and policies, the improvement of institutions and mechanisms of state action – in general: the area of systemic solutions. This is the most hard space to present in the election campaign, but from various forms of manifestation of social expectations (e.g. marches, rallies, meetings) and many surveys of public opinion can be rather accurately read, which institutions and rules of the game are expected present by Poles. erstwhile public institutions play a affirmative role, coordinating and focusing cooperation and improvement – nations become stronger. On the another hand, if they are looting or are systemicly inefficient and only absorb the value generated in the economy – trust in the state is weakening and problems are increasing. The situation of co-habitation can be utilized to destruct factors that make Poland advancement "despite" or "against" institutions and the system. The ability to activate all of our resources, talents and energy is simply a key possible for the challenges facing the full Western world. For example, the question of deregulation, which emerged in the run and revealed the possible of consensus over divisions, could be an opportunity. akin topics could be: transport accessibility (more multicentre and inclusive improvement of the country) or housing policy.

4. Let us perceive to the young generationwho does not want to own Poland by the elite of power – regardless of its political colors. Young people (especially from generation Z) want a servile and effective power – capable of solving contemporary problems, providing advanced quality public services at reasonable cost. They anticipate to make fresh opportunities, not replace 1 deal with another. They do not realize why politicians request so many symbolic rituals that give power to shine (gales, awards, non-content conferences). Young people are not attracted to this "light" – it is annoying. In the end, if we do not make specified a country, and those surviving conditions which young citizens consider valuable and worthy of defence, it is hard to anticipate that they will not only stay in the country, but besides want to make and defend it.

5. Let us look for consensus where possible – Let us effort to keep him in peculiar in matters that have so far fundamentally managed to exclude from the hottest political disputes. As citizens, we must clearly require the elite (and talk loudly) that the safety and resilience of the state – the modernisation and apolitics of the army, cybersecurity, but also, for example, smart and full designed energy transformation (electricity prices, green energy availability, etc.) – are areas in which we can disagree in detail, but the direction must be shared. Similarly, erstwhile supporting Ukraine's sovereignty (with Western allies) and strong opposition to Russia's neo-imperial policy.

6. Let's look further than a step forward – despite comparatively good condition and tremendous development, our country awaits hard times – both due to external turbulence and nonsubjective interior factors (e.g. the powerful demographic crisis, which we will increasingly feel). In order to meet these challenges, Poland should be mature and smart, both effective and flexible. In consequence to increasing social aspirations, we must stay competitive – without a strong economy we will not find backing for infrastructure investments, social projects or defence projects. Let us make our expectations clear, but let us remember that it is more crucial than the declarations themselves to be able to supply backing for these fresh objectives – i.e. to optimize the full strategy in specified a way as to accomplish "more for less".

7. Let's not quit our strength anymore – regardless of our views, through many participation in subsequent elections we have shown that we are an active and subjective community of citizens. This trend needs to be maintained and even strengthened – through an even wider engagement in local initiatives (social consultation, participatory budgets, etc.) and the usage of the chance to comment in the legislative process. Let us guarantee that power does not limit our influence. At each level, from local to regional to central, our voice should be heard and taken into account on an ongoing basis, not only at the time of the election. Citizen activity is the best fuse against abuse of power. all power.

With best greetings and respects
