Miller on troubled Ukrainian grain
On X, Leszek Miller presented his imagination of the grain crisis, suggesting that, contrary to our prevailing east narration limit on the "let" of grain from Ukraine to Poland, citizens of this country frequently do not benefit:
The argument is raised in the discussion that we should let Ukrainian grain in due to the fact that its sale helps Ukraine and Ukrainians who produce it, sale it and have something to live for. Unfortunately, this is half-truth, due to the fact that in Ukraine there are respective agroholdings, or giant food companies, among others. cereals which are not in Ukrainian hands, due to the fact that they are European capital: German, Dutch or mediate Eastern. This means that, apart from the physical work of Ukrainians as part of agroholding, Ukraine's export of this grain remains little, and consequently, letting grain into Poland does not mean support for Ukrainians, but propelling global food companies that make immense money on it. I see no reason why Poland should support billionaires from Europe, Asia or America.
Former Prime Minister again condemns Ukrainian nationalism
As we mentioned at the beginning of the text, Leszek Miller spoke categorically about flagism in Ukraine. He did it again. Let's callback a fragment of his column for “Super Express” a fewer years ago, which makes a large impression:
‘The bloom of Ukrainian nationalism and fascism occurs in circumstances erstwhile the vast majority of victims of the Volyn massacre do not have their graves. Their bones are scattered across the fields, forests and roads of Volyn, and witnesses of those events who could say something are silent," said Leszek Miller, and stated that "a peculiar law provides for the imprisonment of all who would show disregard for veterans of criminal organizations or deny the intent of their fightIt’s okay. ”
When a spokesperson from the Polish Ministry of abroad Affairs stated that the president of Ukraine should apologize for the crime in Volyn and the head of Ukrainian diplomacy expressed his opposition, Leszek Miller was besides firm:
‘In a poignant silence, president Duda laid a wreath at the edge of the grain field. He couldn't do it at the memorial due to the fact that there's no statue. He couldn't bow his head to the cross due to the fact that there's no cross. There is no trace of the full life of the Polish village of Penance. There are thousands of specified places in Volyn and east Galicia. 80 years ago, blood flowed at the command of UPA commander Roman Szuchewych. Shuchewycz was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine by president Yushchenko. It has its monuments and its streets. Similarly, another human killers and criminals. In Lutsk, in which president Duda prayed for the victims of the Volyn massacre, the honorary citizen is Stepan Bandera, and 1 of the main streets is called UPA Heroes. There is nothing to apologize for?” – wrote a well-known left-wing politician in social media.
He agreed with Kaczyński
Interestingly, 7 years ago Leszek Miller shared the opinion of the president of the Polish-Ukrainian relations in the context of a difficult, highly painful, even traumatic past of both nations:
At the time, he stated: “President of PiS was right erstwhile he said that the Ukrainians would not enter Europe with Bandera and that our patience with anti-Polish excesses was exhaustedIt’s okay. ” The erstwhile Prime Minister besides stressed that "Ukrainian IPN launched a run to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Ukrainian Insurgency ArmyIt’s okay. ”
It is said that erstwhile it comes to the approach to historical issues, and especially the genocide in Volyn, Leszek Miller is praised even by the Polish right...
