We're going to Mars

It's hard to imagine that Elon Musk has no thought about technology. Why, then, does he have idiotic visions of the colonization of Mars?

You go to Mars once. It won't come back, due to the fact that the amount of fuel needed to come back, no rocket is going to leave Earth. It takes 300 tons of fuel to transfer a ton from Earth to Mars. Starship Muska is to weigh 100 tons and consume 30,000 tons of fuel. Let us presume that we request to transport back “only” 30 tons, and given that gravity on Mars is circa 3 times smaller, it takes 3,000 tons of fuel to fly from Mars to Earth. It takes 900,000 tons of fuel to launch that amount from Earth. Ridiculous? Absolutely.

Musk would most likely say that the fuel would be produced on site on Mars. I'm afraid the installation to produce these millions would gotta weigh even more.

But erstwhile individual is on Mars, they must be in a radiation shield, due to the fact that Mars has no magnetic field to defend (like Earth) from radiation. The only solution is to hide many meters underground.

Less gravity will mean a reasonably fast failure of bone and muscle. After a while, a man will relax and halt being a brave astronaut.

There's more to akin idioms about traveling to Mars. Why, then, does Musk say that this is the only solution for mankind? Is it distracting people from things of real importance? Like millions of Americans degenerating from abuse? Or $2 million in American prisons?

Unfortunately, Polish journalists and people without a method background are fooled by the Martian idioms. I read and hear that the solution to many earthly problems is the colonization of Mars. Guys! Are you crazy?
