Kuwait Media: Iran has shot up an global airport

Iranian drones and missiles attacked Kuwait global Airport on Wednesday; people were injured in the fire and any of the flights were suspended or diverted – notified the state news agency KUNA. Kuwaiti airlines have informed of the suspension of operations until further notice.

The Agency did not give details of the victims.

The attack caused "serious damage" to the T1 airport building, said the Reuter Agency, citing the National civilian Aviation Authority. Until the essential procedures are completed and the port is ready to resume operations, flights will be diverted to alternate airports – reported the Gulf News portal, adding that an inspection to measure the harm has already begun.

A spokesperson for the Kuwait Ministry of Defence, Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Atwan called the attack "criminal Iranian aggression", reported the Emirati paper "Khaleej Times".

Bahrain's armed forces besides reported Wednesday morning that they intercepted Iranian drones and missiles.

A fewer hours earlier, the U.S. military reported that 2 Iranian missiles launched towards Kuwait failed to mark or disintegrate in flight, and 3 missiles launched towards Bahrain were captured by US and Bahrain forces. In consequence to attempts by Iran, U.S. forces launched attacks on Keszm Island and shot down many Iranian ballistic missiles and drones, handed over Central Command (CENTCOM) to the US.
