Who's beginning night? A fresh poll might give Donald Tusk any thinking

Who could become Prime Minister if Poles made the decision today? The latest poll is rather amazing – not only in the opposition ranks, but besides in the ruling camp. Only 2 politicians gathered two-digit support, and respective known names were placed in unexpectedly low positions.


SW investigation commissioned RP.pl to ask Poles who they would see as head of government. Most indications – 16.9 percent – were received by current Prime Minister Donald Tusk, despite increasingly falling on the leader of the Civic Platform of criticism. Although Tusk leads, however, he steps on the heels of Deputy Prime Minister and abroad Minister Radosław Sikorski with a score of 14.5 percent. – it is his expanding number of people who see him as the leader of the government.

The podium is unexpectedly complemented by a typical of the Confederate Krzysztof Bosak, who is seen by 7.8% of the respondents at the head of the Council of Ministers. Right behind him was his organization colleague and erstwhile presidential candidate Sławomir Mentzen with 7.2 percent indications.

Former Prime Minister and current PiS MP Mateusz Morawiecki won 6.9 percent of the vote. Adrian Zandberg of the organization Together achieved 6.5 percent and erstwhile president Andrzej Duda – 5.4 percent. The ranking besides included (may lose the immunity of the Euro MP) Grzegorz Braun from the Confederation of the Polish Crown, which achieved 4.9 percent and Marshal of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia from Poland 2050 – 3.9 percent of indications.

A somewhat weaker consequence was obtained by the leader of PSL Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz (2.9 percent). PiS MP Przemysław Czarnek received 1.9 percent and Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk received 1.6 percent.

Interestingly, at the very bottom of the ranking was the president of PiS Jarosław Kaczyński. Only 1.1% of respondents would like him to take the position of Prime Minister. The option "someone else" in the SW investigation poll selected 5.4 percent of respondents, while 13.1 percent did not have an opinion on who would be the head of government.
