Crisis in arms procurement of Ukraine - Klimenkov's resignation

The defence minister, Rustem Umerov, criticised erstwhile military procurement activities, pointing to inefficiency and insufficient support for soldiers on the front. Umerov announced his intention not to extend the contract with the current manager of the Defence Procurement Agency (AOZ), Marina Bezrukowa, despite a erstwhile decision by the supervisory board to extend her contract for another year.
