The business of a large settlement in a fewer days, putting a wedge in the defence line and moving the front line by respective kilometres along the Awdijiwka-Pokrowsk railway line, as for the conditions of the positional war in Donbasa, is simply a major Russian success on this episode. In the following days, it had its consequences. The wedge, initially susceptible to wing counterattacks and artillery shelling, was reinforced – wings were secured, breach base expanded, attack continued in respective directions, fresh forces were introduced. On 25 April a tiny village of Solovovo fell from the march nearby.
