The Reuter Agency in this context states that on Sunday a peculiar U.S. envoy for Ukraine General Keith Kellogg said that Ukraine's accession to NATO is not being taken into account.
Last Thursday, the United States presented Russia and Ukraine with their latest proposal for a truce, suggesting that if it was not accepted, the US could retreat its efforts to end the war.
According to Bloomberg, the U.S. proposal is to frost the conflict along current front lines, exclude Ukraine's membership of NATO and mitigate sanctions on Russia. On Saturday, the agency besides informed that Washington is considering the authoritative designation of the annexation of Crimea by Russia.
