The Kremlin broke its silence on the presidential elections in Poland. The consequence of the Sunday election was referred to by Dimitri Piskov. The spokesperson for the Kremlin stated that the election of the head of state is an "internal matter" of Poles who "voted for those on whom they wanted to vote". He besides stated that in his opinion there was no chance that in Poland there would be individual who could normalize relations with Russia.

In the second circular of the presidential election held on Sunday, June 1, the candidate with the support of Law and Justice – Karol Nawrocki won. The President-elect won with a difference of just over 300,000 votes over Rafał Trzaskowski. In percent terms, 50.89 percent of Poles voted for Nawrocki and 49.11 percent for Trzaskowski.

At the Presidential Palace, Karol Nawrocki will replace Andrzej Duda, who resigns after serving a full two-year term.
