The national defence minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish spoke in the Sejm on the situation at the Polish borders. He spoke of a reduced number of illegal border crossings with Belarus, but besides referred harshly to allegations led by opposition.
At the heart of his speech was the work for the migration policy pursued by the erstwhile Government of Law and Justice.

According to the minister, the PO-PSL government reduced the number of visas by 25 percent compared to earlier years, and in 2024 as much as 150 1000 less temporary residence permits were issued than the year before – at least since 2015 and half little than in 2021.
