The Polish Armoured Group signed 4 subcontracts with Hyundai Rot regarding the production and service of K2 tanks and ARV vehicles in Poland. The first K2PL is expected to service in the 4th fourth of 2028.

Armoured companies Polish Armed Forces Group (PGZ) signed on Monday a full of 4 subcontracts with the South Korean company Hyundai Rotem. They concern regulation Manufacture, assembly, servicing and polonization of K2 tanks and ARV ammunition trucks.
Two transportation contracts between The Mechanic Plant "Bumar-Labada"and 2 state-owned companies - PCO and Military Electronic Works and service support agreement for K2GF base tank models.

"Our goal is not only to supply the Polish Armed Forces with modern weapons, but besides to permanently strengthen the competences of the Polish defence manufacture and our production capabilities," he added.

PAP recalled that this was the last of the agreements under the second executive agreement which has allow work preparing the production of K2PL tanks. Introduction of the first tanks in the K2PL variant to service is planned for 4th 4th 2028 The agreement besides assumes the creation of a European centre for the production and maintenance of K2 tanks in Poland through the transfer of technology, assembly, production and maintenance, repair and repair of vehicles of this type.
