South Korea completed modernization of K1A1 tanks

This information means that the 4th and final tranches of upgraded tanks are completed by Hyundai Rotem. The work lasted from November 2021 to September 2024, although the company had previously set a deadline for 2023. As part of the 4 tranches, about 490 tanks were upgraded in the Land Army and Marine Corps. The modernization was intended to let for greater compatibility with the latest K2 Black Panther base tanks and K21 combat infantry cars.
