A series event with representatives of the government, experts and analysts took place on 20 November at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister under the motto RUSSIA-UKRAINA-BLISHEAST. The beginning and conducting gathering was Jan Malicki, manager of the SEW University, and many east Studies graduates were invited to attend.
Introduction to the conference was given by Wojciech Gerwel- Deputy Minister of abroad Affairs of Poland. Mr Vasil Zvarych called for further support from Ukraine in the political context on its way to EU membership. Further, Minister Jadwiga Emilewicz, Government Plenipotentiary for Polish-Ukrainian improvement Cooperation, informed about a number of actions that have been taken in favour of economical cooperation with Ukraine. The Minister stressed the commitment of Polish business to the reconstruction of Ukraine, about the already launched business initiatives, which have the chance to become long-term relations. The presentation of a study prepared by the Warsaw Enterprise Institute entitled Polish Aid to Ukraine.
