Press conference launching the work of the Parliamentary Defence squad of Drivers, which consists of MPs of the Confederation Bartłomiej Pejo, Ryszard Wilk, Krzysztof Tuduj and Bronisław Fołtyn.
Tomasz Grabarczyk:
– The squad will address topics so overlooked by a number of politicians. Topics that concern all citizens who want to decision smoothly and safely on Polish roads. We will be the voice of Polish drivers, the voice of motorists. Those who want to travel safely, efficiently and cheaply on Polish roads.
Bartholomew Pejo (President of the Group):
– The Drivers' Defence squad will deal with cases that will address all issues related to drivers. Thus, the law on traffic, rights and possibilities of Polish transport. These are besides the rights of motorcycle drivers, trucks, coaches. ...
I invitation politicians, Members of the current word of office, transport associations, associations that bring together motorcyclists, all drivers afraid by regulations in Poland.
– present we want to present to you Polish Driver Package. These are, in our view, the 4 most crucial topics to be addressed as shortly as possible.
1. Reduce taxation on fuel prices.
We presented as a Confederate a task called Cheap Fuel. The task expects to reduce fuel prices by about 1/3. We're not proposing like the PiS to frost fuel prices for a while. for an election run only permanently. These fuel prices may actually be 1/3 lower. The price of fuel could be lower by 2 PLN per litre.
2. Reduction of absurd mandate rates.
Right now, the ticket rates have been increased by 1000%! The maximum rate, which was PLN 500, is presently PLN 5 thousand. This is nothing more than robbing Polish drivers. ...
3. Not to ban the sale of combustion cars.
Not only “not” for a sales ban, but besides a ban on moving specified cars in cities.
4. No more motorised discrimination in cities.
As representatives of the Confederation, we were at the Warsaw Council last week, where we emphasized the attack on our civilian liberties. Attacking the freedom of drivers, our freedom to decision around the city. This would not have been possible had it not been for the Act on Electromobility [supported by the Law], had it not been for the Fit For 55 package, which forced the introduction of the alleged Clean Transport Zone, to which Prime Minister Morawiecki did not apply a veto. ...
This is an attack on drivers, an attack on the least wealthy people. Not only those surviving in Warsaw, but besides those who come here to work. And which cars in the next fewer years will not be able to enter Warsaw.
It is worth noting that in Poland cars over 20 years of age account for 40% of all cars. At the moment, we have more than 25 million cars registered. Drivers in Poland are over 22 million people. This is simply a immense crowd, which is affected by these bullshit sharpens, bans, warrants and hits the pockets of Polish drivers, Polish citizens.
