From 6 August the position of president of Poland, after Andrzej Duda, was assumed by Karol Nawrocki. The president is the highest typical of Poland and the guarantor of the continuity of state power. Its powers are defined in Chapter 5 of the Constitution. The president watches over the fundamental law and upholds the sovereignty and safety of the state and the integrity and indivisibility of its borders. What can he do that, according to the Constitution, the president can't?
