The fresh Left Committee may not run for election!

The State Election Commission present published a list of election committees gathering the condition laid down in Article 210, paragraph 2 of the Electoral Code in elections to the Polish Parliament ordered on 15 October 2023. Interestingly, the fresh Left organization election committee is missing for the publication of this article!

Why?

For a long time there have been rumors from the Left that the organization is having problem collecting the signatures needed for the upcoming parliamentary elections. As the situation shows, that despite the assurances of the falseness of this rumor even by the co-chairman of this organization – Vladimir Czarzaste, there is simply a grain of fact in it. However, it should be remembered that despite the end of the registration of nationwide electoral committees on 6 September (by 16 o'clock) it is not the end of the examination of signatures by the State Election Commission, due to the fact that it may accept papers submitted but not yet reviewed by the abovementioned date. For the minute fresh Left has not registered 21 districts.

What's next?

According to a poll by Ipsos conducted from 19 to 22 June 2023, a organization of second choice for the majority of left-wing voters, for 56% is simply a Citizens' Coalition that puts behind the 3rd Road (12%) and Confederation (11%). A possible deficiency of start in the upcoming fresh Left parliamentary elections (in not listed 21 districts) could possibly give ~3 percent points (as shown by polling average on our website). This would let KOs to think calmly about obtaining as much as 31-32%, or almost equalizing the polling quotations of the United Right.

New Left has registered an election committee, but inactive lacks signatures in 20 districts.
