The European Commission approved the Polish plan under the SAFE mechanism

Apart from Poland, the EC besides accepted plans submitted by Estonia, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia and Finland on Monday. The SAFE programme provides for a full of EUR 150 billion of support in the form of low-interest loans for the acquisition of military equipment, mostly produced in Europe. Poland is to be its largest beneficiary.
