The Wielkopolska Police informed on Friday of the detention and deportation of a 39-year-old Ukrainian citizen who repeatedly violated the law, posing a threat to safety and public order. The man committed a series of thefts, violated traffic regulations, and did not engage in legitimate commercial activity.
A series of thefts and detentions
Officers from Wronek agreed that from January to February 2024 a 39-year-old had made respective robberies in 1 of the local markets. The full value of the stolen property exceeded PLN 1500. Multiple violations – not only thefts
When checking the legality of the foreigner's stay, it turned out that he had many offences and crimes in his account.
"It was established that a 39-year-old was repeatedly punished for traffic offences, and that criminal proceedings were conducted against him, specified as driving in spite of a court order or shoplifting in the territory of Nowo Tomysk. In addition, he had no permanent residence or legal employment at the time’ – the police say.
Deportation and ban of entry into Poland and the Schengen area
The Police territory Commandant in Szamotuły addressed a request to the Border defender to issue a decision to oblige the foreigner to return. After the case was taken over by the SG in Poznań, the man was deported to Ukraine under escort. In addition, he was banned from entering Poland and another Schengen countries.

The case of 39-year-old Ukrainians is another example of consistent actions of Polish services towards foreigners breaking the law. Deportations and entry bans are intended to guarantee the safety of Polish residents.
