"After the decision of the president in thousands of homes across Poland, there was shock, bitterness and a sense of profession" - written in a letter from Polish authorities, the content of which was made available on the social media by Krystyna Janda. This is an expression of opposition to Karol Nawrocki's decision after vetoing the amendment of the law on assistance to Ukrainian citizens. The letter was signed by Jolanta Kwasniewska and Olga Tokarczuk.

Karol Nawrocki vetoed the law on helping Ukrainian citizens
Monday President Nawrocki stated at a press conference that did not sign an amendment to the Law on Assistance to Ukrainian Citizens. His decision was motivated, among others, by the fact that only those Ukrainians who work in Poland should receive the 800 plus benefit. He then announced his own legislative initiative on this matter.
- I'm sorry. The law on assistance to citizens of Ukraine does not make this adjustment, which was the subject of a public debate. I can't change my mind. and I believe that 800 plus should belong only to those Ukrainians who undertake to work in Poland. Similarly, wellness benefits - said Nawrocki.
