Knut the large – ruler of the North Sea Empire

He came from the Danish Jelling dynasty, the boy of Sweyn Forkbeard, who conquered England in 1013. Knut followed in his father's footsteps and became King of England in 1017. In 1019, after the death of his brother Harald, he took power in Denmark, and in 1028 conquered Norway.
