Key EC actions to make the circular economy

The European Commission has present launched a number of initiatives to velocity up the EU's transition to a circular economy and prepare the ground for a circular economy act to be adopted in 2026. The circular economy enhances competitiveness and economical growth by promoting re-use, recycling and material regeneration. The future act will support the EU's competitiveness and clean industrial governance objectives to double the share of recycled materials in the EU economy by 2030 and become a global leader in the circular economy.
