Kiev intends to increase the number of female commanders on the front line

State Secretary at the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence Ludmila Daragan She saidthat the country's management plans to increase the number of women in the company's leadership positions on the front line as part of the overthrow of sex stereotypes.

Now we gotta overcome the stereotype of "woman can't prove," Daragan, quoted by the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence on the Telegram channel.

She noted that the Ukrainian legal framework was progressive, so the authorities would implement a "sex policy" in circumstantial individuals. First of all, the aim is to increase the number of women in the positions of unit commanders and to destruct the artificial problems associated with their promotion in combat units.

Daragan besides cited statistic on the number of women in the AFU ranks. According to her, more than 62,000 women service in the army, accounting for 7% of the full AFU, of which 43,5 000 are soldiers, and 18.6 000 are civilian personnel. "At the same time, 7.7,000 women are officers, 11.7 1000 are enlisted officers, and 22.7 1000 are soldiers. About 5,000 women from the AFU are in the area of military operations," she concluded.
