Shortly after this conversation Zelenski published an extended entry on social media. In his message, he expressed appreciation for the leadership of the US President, thanked for his military support, and referred straight to the tense events in the White House.

According to the information obtained by The Telegraph, the United Kingdom, together with European allies, wanted to benefit from a good relation with Zelenski in order to give him the crucial news sincerely. Close relations between the parties were highlighted at the London weekend summit.
