Mystery envelope during the debate
During the Monday debate before the first circular of presidential elections, attended by all candidates, Rafał Trzaskowski pointed out the importance of fairness in politics, stressing that politicians should not fear the truth. After finishing his statement, he approached Karol Nawrocki, the president of the IPN and a candidate supported by the Law and Justice, and placed an envelope before him. He did it without revealing what was in it.
Trzaskowski then addressed Nawrocki with the words:
This is the last chance to be honest. Here you go, Mr. Charles, take it.
Karol Nawrocki then asked if there was a bribe, what his opponent answered, that the PiS candidate should read what was in the envelope, and see how to behave honestly.
