It is alleged from the D.A.'s communication that Kamiński and Wąsik were illegally active in the Sejm's deliberations and voting on 21 and 28 December 2023, as well as in the Parliamentary Committee on Administration and Home Affairs. They are facing 3 months to 5 years in prison.
On December 20, 2023, the Warsaw territory Court sentenced them legally, as erstwhile CBA chiefs, to 2 years in prison for exceeding their powers in the alleged 2007 land scandal. Eventually, they were pardoned by Andrzej Duda.
Loud affair
In connection with the final judgment, Marshal Simon Holovnia issued a decision to expire their mandates. Politicians appealed against this decision, which was then addressed to the Labour and Social Insurance Board.
This body did not take into account the appeal, which resulted in the appointment of Monika Pawłowski after Kamiński, while after Wąsik he remained unoccupied. Following the transfer of the indictment to the European Parliament, a motion will be made to waive the immunity of both PiS politicians.
