Envelope Elections
Mariusz Kamiński, along with erstwhile Minister of State Assets Jacek Sasin, was liable for preparing correspondence elections at the request of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. He was to sign an agreement with the State Securities Company for the printing of ballot cards, but it was yet not implemented.
Opposition representatives tried to control the activities in the hotel but claimed to have been misled. The Envelope Election Commission present wanted to ask Mariusz Kamiński about the formalities related to cooperation with PWPW.
Another subject was the evidence of Michał Pił, MP of the Jarosław Gowin Accord, who was opposed to the envelope election. He testified at 1 of the erstwhile committee meetings that during the election gathering at the Prime Minister's villa in Kamiński Park, he was furious, threatening his opponents with prison and saying that they should be destroyed.
Ionian-Kaminski Connection
On Monday, erstwhile Home Minister Mariusz Kamiński testified before the Sejm's committee on the visa scandal. Donald Tusk, on the basis of his powers, relieved Kamiński of the work to keep the secrecy of classified information which he obtained during his duties as Minister and peculiar Services Coordinator, if these concern the work of the committee.
On Tuesday, PiS policy took part in a gathering of the committee on correspondence elections. The president of the committee Dariusz Joński asked Kamiński why during the gathering at the villa of Prime Minister Morawiecki he fell into a rage and you would should be calmed by Jarosław Kaczyński. The next question was whether the politician was sober during the meeting.
As a result, Kamiński, addressing Joński, said: You're a pig.. After those words, he decided to leave the room.
Kamiński's Return
The erstwhile Home Minister applied for the removal of Dariusz Joński from the meeting, but he did not gain a majority vote. In an interview with journalists Kamiński expressed outrage at the fact that the witness is challenged and insulted, which he found unacceptable.
After a fewer minutes he returned to the O.R. with the assistant of the Marshal's Guard, and the proceeding was inactive full of tension between Joński and Kamiński. Kamiński emphasized that he would not be allowed to be offended, and Joński accused of suggesting that he was under the influence of drugs.
Kamiński assured that voting cards were well protected by various means, including anti-xer paint, which changed colour after photocopying. He testified that the cards were professionally secured in 4 different ways.
Ionian and Kamiński besides had different views on the position of erstwhile minister. Kamiński claimed to be an MP, but Joński ruled against it. Kamiński stressed that he had sworn in, so he had to tell the truth. He declared himself an MP, citing the position of the ultimate Court, which confirmed his status. On Wednesday, he told RMF FM that he had received another ultimate Court order confirming that he was an MP.
