Jarosław Kaczyński at the PiS legislature in Przydrywie spoke about the party's failure in 2023. He estimated it was a pandemic issue. “The decisions on lockdowns were taken by doctors. But there was no another way out," he said.
– This is undoubtedly the reason for the fall in support and the increase in power to the right from us, which had previously not played a major role," he added, referring to the increase in support of the Confederacy, which questioned authoritative restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic.
Kaczyński: visa scandal "suck from a finger"
Kaczyński did not agree that it was the visa scandal that led to the deterioration of PiS's ratings. As he said, she is "fully sucked off her finger."
“These visas allegedly sold in bazaars in various places of the mediate East or another countries distant from Poland were struck [...]. I repeat, it was sucked from a finger. It was 1 large lie – said the president of the Law and Justice.
– The only scandal that was here, had a tiny scale, was identified and eliminated by the appropriate services. The most liable people were arrested, all possible actions were taken to clarify the matter," he added.
What does the PiS want to do to win the election?
Jarosław Kaczyński outlined a plan of Law and Justice for the coming years. This goal is to win the 2027 parliamentary elections and make a government.
The leader of the Polish right is of the opinion that "Today Poland is destroyed". Kaczyński assessed that the current political situation favours the Law and Justice and the organization should take advantage of it.
As our formation, we have a good wind right now. We request to grow our party. We request a good show. We must take a large action to build the programme for Poland. This must be a program based on simple principles: there is simply a nation of Poland, connected by bonds of solidarity, and solidarity must come from justice – said the politicians.
