Jarosław Kaczyński continues his efforts to find political strength that will let him to return to power. For a long time, he has expressed himself pleasantly about the PSL, met Simon Holovnia, now smiles at the Confederation and proposes to sign "Polish Declaration". For starters, he wants Mentzen's organization to declare that it will never enter a coalition with Donald Tuski.


PiS presented "Polish Declaration". What kind of paper is that? The Kaczyński organization defines it as a consequence to the so-called. The Toruń Declaration by Sławomir Mentzen signed by Karol Nawrocki before the elections without much hesitation. Now the Law and Justice wants the Confederate to support her demands in the rematch.

Jarosław Kaczyński asked the Confederation to sign this declaration. What do we find in it? It besides includes points on rejection of the euro as a currency, Green Deal, "ideology in education" and based on coal-based energy. There is besides something about Ukraine: cooperation with it is to be carried out with care for Polish interests. Poles are to be encouraged to return from emigration and have inexpensive housing.

Why would Kaczyński do that?

His intentions are clear. He wants to make an agreement with another parties. He's very anxious to regain his power. Parliamentary elections will be held in the autumn of 2027. The polls are gracious to the PiS, but it is clear that the organization may, despite winning the election, neglect to gain the ability to govern itself and dramatically needs coalition ability. This happened in 2023.

– If certain political forces say: we can date both us and the Civic Platform, they say that they truly do not want to change the strategy in Poland, they do not want to reject post-communism. They do not want Poland to prosecute a policy that is truly in the interests of our country," said the president of the Law and Justice Office about the declaration.

In a word: already present Kaczyński is looking for coalitions. This is simply a neck-to-heart task, it is adequate to remind Polish politics of the saying: "Whoever tries to do the PiS is disappearing". Kaczyński brought practically all the erstwhile coalitionists to a marginal role, absorbed or severely discouraged.
