Many of us most likely inactive remember what happened in Paris in 2015, erstwhile the magazine “Charlie Hebdo” published the caricature of Allah. And we most likely besides remember that it was the first and last time that it was dared to mock Islam and its followers.

How many times have we faced mocking Christendom? Of course, this is simply a rhetorical question, due to the fact that there were countless specified events. What? Nothing. We are the most mocked religion, and if blood is shed on the occasion of specified acts of hatred, it is only ours.
Is that what Jesus wanted us to do? I'm not a theologian, but I feel like there's something incorrect with us. After the scandalous beginning of the Olympic Games in Paris, there has already been, and indeed, a petition expressing outrage at the desecration of the Last Supper that took place there. Not to mention the organization that prepared it, it is easy to find it on the Internet.
Would it end if the outraged French Muslims sent a petition to Charlie Hebdo’s editor?
Should we respond as Muslims? Of course not. But I feel like we can learn from them. Though they had committed a morally reprehensible act, they were not afraid to hazard to their god all that they had on this land, hoping that after specified an assassination, if they were caught, they would either be killed or imprisoned for years. They reacted due to the fact that their religion was the most crucial to them.
What about us? We'll sign the petition, we'll make the pictures online, we'll get angry with the closest people, and then we'll go get chips and we'll sit down and watch any of our favourite athletes compete. And what does that change?
According to the river basin.pl portal, the American telecommunications company C Spire withdrew its advertising run during the Games due to this profanity. And that's the right answer!
No Catholic should be watching this year's Olympics, and this boycott should talk loudly all around. Smaller ratings are smaller receipts from advertisements during transmission and admission tickets.
All companies respecting Catholic values should retreat their ads from this event and collect their money back, making the profanators not gain as much as they could.
And finally, all Catholic athletes should retreat from any rivalry in this Olympics. Whether it's their first career games or their last games, no substance how long they were preparing for them, how hard they trained and how hard it was for them to rise funds to go and perform. due to the fact that without athletes, there are no games, no shows, no money.
Maybe then those who wanted to “show tolerance” will at least think about it.
"Truly, I say unto you, No man leaves home, brethren, sisters, mother, father, children, or fields due to Me and due to the Gospel, that he should not receive a 100 times more now, at that time, houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields, among persecutions, and eternal life in the future." (Mk 10, 29-30)
“To anyone who confesses to me before men, I will confess to my Father, who is in heaven. But whoever denies me before men, I will deny it besides before my Father, who is in heaven." (Mt 10:32-33)
