On Sunday, for which the 2nd circular of local elections was appointed, the Sunday of the Good Shepherd and the Day of Prayer for vocations. I dreamt of proceeding a sermon in my parish church about what a Catholic should do in the face of the hard choice he was in my city, due to the fact that politics is besides a kind of vocation, and the town's ruler is besides a shepherd.

Of course, the sermon was different, so indirectly, it was a message to the faithful that these choices were neither crucial to God nor to their regular or spiritual life. And it most likely wasn't the only parish where last Sunday looked like, and the results of the election are what they are, until the regret of reading about subsequent cities in which the Platform or left in various varieties will regulation for the next time. Hope stays in towns specified as Siemianowice Śląskie or Bełchatów, where people with right-wing views will rule.
In turn Warsaw and Kraków are 2 cities in which all problems of Polish democracy have been concentrated. Rafał Trzaskowski collecting everything in the first circular is most likely partially the consequence of Poles' reluctance to change and to choose individual fresh in a place known, even according to the phrase “it is bad, but at least stable”. The question of the age and origin of the PO nominee, who remained in Warsaw City Hall for the second term, remains.
The Krakow elections differed powerfully from the erstwhile ones due to the fact that for the first time in twenty-two years they were not run by the long-term host of Kraka Castle Jacek Majchrowski, supported by leftist groups and PO. After the first round, the crackers faced a dramatic choice, due to the fact that only Aleksander Miszalski (PO) and Łukasz Gibala (unpartisan, with a past in the PO and Palikot, now supported by the organization Together) were on the ballot. The fierce fight of both gentlemen lasted until the last minute, yet won by the PO candidate. 1 can say - whatever, but it is fair to admit that Łukasz Gibala competed in these elections for the 3rd time, and in the meantime he founded the Krakow association for residents and acted locally, thus building self-government capital. Aleksander Miszalski, organization nominee in turn, had no specified past, returned from Warsaw at the organization chief's call and picked up everything that was to be taken. In a word for the Krakus, it's not about commitment and work, due to the fact that the organization sign is simply a far more crucial determinant. Is that expected to happen? I'll leave no comment.
As always, however, it is not a text about complaining, but about solutions. Many Polish cities afraid the same problem - there was no 1 to vote for in the first round. Right-wing, patriotic, Catholic voters were frequently left alone, and parties - let's face it honestly - frequently exhibited almost random people, due to the fact that individual was set up, but they did not do any run to save strength and money for later, that is, to run for the Europarliament. In the end, the euro-parliament is much more money and all buck invested in the run has a chance to turn repeatedly, not what in the self-government, where the work is heavier and the spans are far poorer.
So what's next? Further, of course, the elections to the Europarliament, but if there are people in existing parties who care about their tiny homelands, I have free advice for them. Namely candidates for subsequent local elections should be appointed NOW.
Yes, exactly, right now, 5 years before these elections 1 should think about who from PiSu, PJJJ or Confederacy will run for president of Warsaw, Krakow, Wrocław, Gdańsk, Poznań and so on. You should choose 3 specified people, because, however, for 5 years can happen a lot, and aid these people enter into the life of a peculiar city, get to know its problems, pains, specificity and needs. And these people should appear with hot coffee where people will stand in the rain in line for something (or at a halt waiting for a late bus or a broken tram again), they should hire surveyors and designers (and whoever else they need) and draw a task to widen the streets in the most jammed places of the city. They should analyse the available data and find whether the proceeds from the public transport ticket charges full cover the costs of operating offices or vending machines for their sale and the costs of controlling these tickets, due to the fact that if not, public transport should be free, which will reduce traffic traffic significantly. And so on, and so on, and so on.
At the same time, in specified actions, possibly the natural leaders will become another people, with much more possible than those selected, which will give a chance to choose the best candidate in fact, due to the fact that yet there will be individual to choose from. And in the end they would be candidates from a given city, known, circumstantial and engaged, due to the fact that only those have the chance to convince themselves of people despite organization signs. Finally, according to what the Gospel tells us, a good shepherd must know his sheep and make them know him.
