The Ministry of Digital Affairs has provided up-to-date statistic on the transcription of alleged single-sex marriages. Polish civilian position offices were to registry already 516 acts concluded abroad. The provisions allowing the transfer of a abroad act of alleged "single-sex marriage" to the Polish registry of civilian position apply from 23 August.
Most transcriptions were carried out in Warsaw – 209. Wrocław (73) and Kraków (46) are next, and among the cities with the largest number of entries are besides Gdańsk, Sosnowiec, Milanówek, Łódź, Poznań, Gdynia and Bydgoszcz. In total, specified activities were carried out in the offices of respective twelve Polish towns. 198 entries are for women's unions and 318 for men.
The fresh regulations are a consequence of the ruling of the Court of Justice of the EU, which obliged Poland to recognise same-sex marriages concluded in another EU countries – after designation of a abroad act, single-sex couples are to benefit in Poland from the rights of the same-sex marriage.
