Karol Nawrocki will take office as president of the Republic of Poland tomorrow, August 6. The oath ceremony, which will be held before the National Assembly, will begin at 10:00 in the session area of the Sejm – it is there where the President-elect will curse in front of both chambers of parliament. However, this is only the beginning of an intense day full of symbolic and authoritative events.
At 12:00 a.m. in the Basilica of the Architectural Martyrdom of St. John the Baptist in Warsaw, a solemn Mass will be celebrated in the intention of Homeland and the fresh president. Then, at 2:00 pm, an investment ceremony will be held at the Royal Castle, during which Karol Nawrocki will be officially appointed the Grand Master of the Order of the White Eagle and the Order of the Revival of Poland.
On late afternoon, at 3:15 p.m., the fresh president and his wife will enter the Presidential Palace officially for the first time as head of state. The day will culminate in an crucial minute – at 4:30 p.m. in the Marshal Józef Piłsudski Square there will be a ceremony of taking over the power of the Polish Armed Forces.
New draft laws
After authoritative celebrations, the fresh president will not slow down. According to Virtual Poland, Nawrocki will tour the country the next day. On August 7, Kalisz will visit, and a day later he will appear in Kolbuszowa. According to unofficial information, on Friday the fresh president is scheduled to present a bill establishing a zero PIT for families raising at least 2 children. However, this is not the end – the presentation of a task expanding the amount of taxation free to PLN 60 1000 is besides considered.
Increase in earnings and 24-hour protection
From the minute of assuming the office of President, the life of Karol Nawrocki will radically change – not only in terms of duties, but besides in terms of material conditions. As Wprost points out, after being sworn in by the head of the state, a wage consisting of a basic salary, a functional allowance and a traineeship allowance will be granted. The full monthly amount can scope up to PLN 29,987 gross, which means a payment of about PLN 21 1000 per arm.
Nawrocks can besides be calm about their financial future after the end of their word of office. As a erstwhile president, for the remainder of his life he will receive a monthly wage of 75 per cent of the basic salary, in accordance with the provisions on the functional allowance – which presently represents PLN 19,728.35 gross.
While serving in the highest office in the country, Nawrocki will be covered by 24-hour protection of the State Protection Service (SOP), as will all the places where he will reside. For safety reasons, he will most likely not be able to drive his own car.
