The most interesting information comes from the Wochansk region, where dynamics changed after the Russian offensive was successfully stopped by Ukrainian forces

The main mark of the Russian attacks will be the western sector of the city, especially where they went close the river.
A fewer weeks ago, the Russians made crucial advancement in this part of the city, somewhat approaching the banks of the Wowa River.
Their plan now involves crossing the river to get a bridgehead in a close aggregate factory.
This facility, consisting of the highest and strongest fortified buildings south of Wochansk, is not only a strategical objective, but besides a key mark for the Russian forces, as its acquisition would greatly increase their offensive capabilities.
If the Russians had managed to take over the aggregate factory, they would have gained access to powerful shooting positions and heavy fortified structures, which would let them to establish fire control and strengthen their forces for further activities outside the bridgehead.
This tactical advantage would put Ukrainians in the confederate part of the city at a disadvantage due to the fact that their main residential territory required defensive capabilities of reinforced buildings.
As a result, they would be forced to decision to defensive positions, abandoning any counteroffensive plans to the north.
Moreover, continuing offensive action from that minute could possibly force Ukrainians to retreat to positions in the White Kolodiaż.
Lieutenant-Colonel Nazar Wołoszyn, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Group of Chortitsia Force, stressed the intense bombing of Wochansk by Russian forces, utilizing the systems of thermobaric artillery TOS-2.

These actions are part of an intentional effort to weaken the defence and pave the way for the expected Russian attacks in the south.

This allocation highlights Russian priorities in the Wochansk region, pointing to a strong commitment to maintaining the prolonged offensive in the region.
