There are many differences between the Polish and EU interests

"The costs of Poland's presence in the European Union will proceed to increase. Climate policy, the European Green Deal and the full Fit for 55 package will be the main origin of these costs, which will be extended to further sectors: transport, construction, agriculture.

While this has so far been the case for an indirect average Polish citizen, it will now be the case directly! Climate policy afraid steelworks, power plants and so on, and present it enters households. It means to reduce mobility, to ban the sale of fresh combustion cars, taxes sewn at the price of fossil fuels for the supply of vehicles, for heating homes. Agriculture – reducing food supply, rising food prices. Construction and so on, and so on. Poles will shortly feel the costs of climate policy on their own pockets.

We are entering a phase where there will be greater criticism of the European Union. Poland will become a net contributor. We know that there is an accession procedure initiated with respect to Ukraine. We have an unresolved trade conflict with Ukraine. We have an unresolved commercial issue. After all, at the last European Parliament meeting, a regulation on duty-free trade with Ukraine was passed for the 3rd year, which is another pebble to the fact that Polish farmers will protest further, but not only Polish. So there are quite a few inconsistencies, quite a few disagreements, quite a few discrepancies between the Polish business and the EU.

What we do not agree with is, above all, the proposal for Treaty amendments prepared by the Constitutional Commission of the European Parliament. There it is clearly written, which exclusivity powers are to control to Brussels. Today, in the Treaties, we have concretely defined which are national, which are shared, which are a associate State. And let's not change that if there's a reality.

I want for specified representation and in the European Parliament, and at the level of the Council of the European Union, which will prosecute Polish interests. An example of Mrs Urszula Zielińska, who went to the Council of the European Union and said that the climate mark for 2040 was 90% of Poland. Then, a fewer hours later, it turns out that this is not a government position. So how are we expected to negociate the Polish national interest at European Union level, how are we not expected to negociate it at Polish government level?

There is no request to change the Treaties so that the European Union's federalisation process will take place. It's already happening out of the way. This happens, among another things, through the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union. This is besides happening in KPO, for example, in milestones, where Brussels interferes in a number of policy areas where there is no competence! In introducing specified things on fiscal issues: they impose a taxation on registration of a combustion car, a full cover of civilian contracts, the introduction of charges for expressways and highways, these are besides milestones that are to be realised to receive money from the National Reconstruction Plan. You don't talk about that at all either.
